Kayak Hike to Cockatoo Island & Return. There are a limited number of places for this camp.
This is a combined camp with 2nd Mortdale Scouts
Preparation
All partcipants must be proficient in Kayaking. Check with leaders if you aren't sure if you have the right skills.
Bring
Sleeping bag, sleeping mat.
Small basic mess kit.
Toiletries, personal 1st aid kit, towel or shammy.
Change of clothes, jumper, boating clothes, wet shoes, hat, sunscreen, Dry bag if you have one, Large garbage bages will be issued for clothes.
Small amount of money, Icecreams & drinks can be purchased on island
Food will be supplied
Paddling distance is approx 6 klms one way. Oatley Bay Safety Boat will be shepherding Kayakers.
Travel Arrangements
Meeting 7.30am Saturday at Bayview Park Concord, Returning to Bayview Park Sunday 1.30pm. Then travelling back to Oatley to clean kayaks & equipment. Finishing at hall approx 3.30pm.
Speak to leaders if your Scout would like to join / leave at a different time or location.

Supervision
This activity will be conducted under direct or indirect adult supervision. Both male and female leaders will be present.
Oatley Bay will supply rescue boat & shepherd kayakers during journey.
